And Joshua said to the Israelites, “When your children ask their fathers in time to come, ‘What do these stones mean? You shall let your children know, Israel came over this Jordan on dry ground…That all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty and that you may reverence and fear the Lord your God forever” Joshua 4: 21,22,24
Stones in Biblical times often were used as markers for an event, or as in Joshua’s time as a witness for what had taken place, so that every time they passed by the stones, they were to remember what the stones were saying. Three years ago, we began a journey with stones as markers when Dan encountered an excavator who had a licence for a quarry of stones that were first used to build the original Parliament buildings in Ottawa when Canada became a nation. We subsequently obtained some of the stones from the capstone of the quarry and laid them near the entrance to the Tent of David.
The story of these stones is found on our website under “The Story of the Stones”. At the time of their dedication 3 years ago, we felt they were a statement about a governmental authority coming upon the ecclesia to legislate over nations in the heavenlies. After a visit from Faith Marie Baczko when she ministered on the Headstone Generation, we also came to understand that we were also building a house for God and that we were the lively stones of that building, with Jesus as the chief cornerstone.
Fast forward to this year when Dan was working outside the church and the excavator drove up! We had not seen him in 3 years! Chuck Pierce had a word about 5785 where he said that we must see our moment this year, and seize it. So, in that moment, Dan asked if there were any more stones. The result was that they laid two more of the stones at the entryway of our walkway to the Tent.
As we were preparing to dedicate these stones this past Sunday on Feast of Tabernacles, I was earnestly seeking the Lord and saying, “What do these stones mean?” The answer came shortly after with a message from prophet Tomi Arayomi for Feast of Tabernacles about the difference between the anointing and the Glory. For weeks we have been studying all the scriptures related to the Glory. So this message caught my attention. The point of it was that in the anointing we do things for God as in Isaiah 61, but in the Glory, things come to you as in Isaiah 60. Suddenly my spirit leapt and I realized that these stones being laid on Feast of Tabernacles this year, coupled with our Glory scriptures, were a statement of our journey on the pathway to building the house for God.
In Isaiah 60 it talks about what comes to you when you are walking in the Glory:
Nations shall come to your light (a national mandate) Your sons and daughters will come from afar (prodigals returning) a multitude of camels shall come (abundance) the ships of Tarshish shall come (these brought the wealth of Solomon to build the house of God) the least shall become a thousand (great increase in numbers)
As we dedicated our stones with pouring oil and wine on them, we declared that we were moving from the anointing to the Glory on our journey to build a house for God. When you operate in the anointing, and it lifts, you are tired! In the Glory, you are at rest!
What do these stones mean? We are declaring that as we walk through these stones on each side of our pathway, that we are entering a Glory Zone! We declare that the Kingdom of God is at hand and all that the Kingdom offers is ours! As we leave, as we walk past our first set of Canada stones, we declare as the ecclesia that our nation will be glorious and free! When we come to the Isaiah 60 stones, we take the Glory light everywhere we go! Arise! Shine! for your light has come and the Glory of the Lord has risen upon you! |
