So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from the Israelites, one for each tribe, and said to them, “Go over before the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder according to the tribes of the Israelites, to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, What do these stones mean? tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever. Joshua 4: 4-7

“Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion comes revelation and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

And Yeshuah judges among the nations, and rebukes many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks.” Isaiah 2:3-4

At the end of September, 2021, we undertook to remove the Tent old walkways to replace it with new concrete. The contractor was reading the Historical plaque beside the walkway and about the Edwards family who constructed what is now Tent of David. The builder, John Edwards went on to build and live in what is now 21 Sussex Drive. His firm supplied lumber for the Parliament Buildings and Rideau Canal.

To our surprise, we found out that the contractor’s family owned the quarry that supplied all the stones for the first Parliament Buildings that burnt in February 1916 and that stones from this quarry were still available. When our current Parliament was rebuilt they chose stones closer to Ottawa in the Nepean quarry to replace the building. The building took on a different look with gargoyles supposedly protecting it.

We felt so much that this was a God appointment and made arrangements to have some of the capstones of the quarry to be brought to the Tent to be put beside the walkway. To our surprise, when we saw them, they looked like they were on fire! Our firey stones! They were lovingly dedicated as a memorial to the foundations of our country and released a fresh governmental anointing to declare the future of Canada!

We also felt that it was a witness to the fact that the body of Christ had crossed over and entered a new era. Each time we walk through the firey stones we are reminded of that , and that we are building a house for God!

As Joshua began to take territory in the land he laid stones as a memorial to other generations of what God had done.

Just recently the contractor happened by again as Dan was outside the Tent. This began another step in our journey by the laying for more firey stones beside the others. We know we have taken another step along our journey here and are eagerly anticipating what this prophetic act with trigger.

A number of years ago when Dale was flying across the Atlantic home from the Isle of Lewis where the Hebrides awakening occurred in 1949, she had an unexpected encounter with God on the plane. One of the men who had been in the revival had given her a book by Martyn Lloyd Jones called “Revival”. The book was all about the Joshua scripture, What do these stones mean? As she began to read the book, she began to cry and wept all across the trip over the Atlantic. These stones are a witness. They speak of the righteous foundations of Canada and her destiny related to Revival.

What do these stones mean? For us, they tell a story of a nation that has an appointment with revival.
