Recently we held a conference entitled “What time is it?” with Faith Marie Baczko as speaker. What drew us to her ministry was a prophetic word she published on Elijah List about Canada. In it, she talked about Canada having a special role in the end times as the anchor runner in a relay race who would pass the baton back to Israel to close out this present age.
The anchor runner is the last runner in the race who must run the most intense and competitive phase of the relay. The strongest runner is chosen who must maintain the team’s lead or make a significant push to overtake opponents.
We were on holidays during most of the Olympics at our son’s home in Nova Scotia and one morning I walked into their living room to my daughter in law pausing the television to tell me she wanted me to see a race and not tell me the outcome. So, she reversed what turned out to be the men’s 4X 100 relay race. The race is very quick and what captured us all was Andre de Grasse running the last leg of the race. None of the participants on our team had even qualified for their individual races including Andre. But something electric happened when this team began to run the race. It concluded with a burst of speed by Andre to bypass the others to win gold! This was his 7th Olympic medal. The anchor runner won for the 7th time, the number of completion. What a picture of the prophetic word!
As I began to think on this and what it was telling us, the Lord had me focus on the name, Andre de Grasse. The word “Grasse” in English means “greasy” or “bold”. The name Andre means “strong and manly”. I immediately began to think of the scripture, Isaiah 10:27. The yoke (around your neck) shall be destroyed because of the fatness of the anointing.
The name de Grasse means “from Grasse”. When I looked up Grasse, it is a place in France that is considered the perfume capital of the world! 27 tons of jasmine, an important ingredient in many perfumes, are harvested in Grasse every year.
The interesting thing is that we try to give a prophetic gift to our speakers when they come to our conferences. This time, I felt to give Faith an alabaster box with anointing oil and a vial of perfume. The perfume was “J’adore”, a French perfume that was created by Christian Dior because of his passion for flowers! Could it be a picture of a Christian releasing fragrant worship?
What is this saying about Canada? In the midst of all the darkness that we witnessed during the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics, there was a race being run. Canada, you are going to finish strong. You will do it not by individual merit, but because of running as one new man standing with Israel in the end times. God is about to pour out a fragrant oil of worship over Canada that will destroy the yoke around her neck. The runners in the last leg of the race will stand with Israel in a time of great darkness on the earth.
What time is it? It’s time for Canada to come into the fullness of her destiny. The runners ran the race in 37.5 seconds. The Lord led me to Ezekiel 37:5. It is the story of the dry bones. Verse 5 says “This is what the sovereign Lord says to these bones. ” I will make breath enter you and you will come to life”. The context is about Israel coming out of her graves and standing up as a great army. To much of us, Canada also has become dry bones spiritually. God is saying to Canada, come out of your graves. It’s time to stand up. Release the fragrance of the oil of worship once again and run your race.
